A 24-room residence in the Surrey countryside, where the standard of care matches the standard of living.
"We set out to build a care home we'd want our own parents to live in. Not the cheapest. Not the biggest. Just the best we could manage."— Richard Ashford, Founder
Every room has an en-suite bathroom, underfloor heating, and views of the grounds.
18 sqm with en-suite shower room, fitted wardrobe, armchair, and garden view. Designed to feel like a good hotel room — clean lines, quality materials, nothing fussy.
24 sqm with sitting area, en-suite with bath and shower, and French doors to a private terrace. Space to have family round for tea without feeling cramped.
32 sqm with separate lounge area, kitchenette, full bathroom, and direct garden access. For residents who want their own space but the safety net of 24-hour care.
Breakfast is flexible — come down whenever you wake up. Lunch and dinner are served in the dining room, but there's always the option of eating in your room if you'd rather.
The menu changes daily. We use local suppliers, seasonal ingredients, and we don't take shortcuts. If someone wants a poached egg at 3pm, they get a poached egg at 3pm. Special diets, allergies, preferences — all handled quietly and without fuss.
We also host a monthly supper club where families are invited. Three courses with wine. It's popular.
Head Chef — previously at The Crown, Amersham. With us since 2019.
Weekly sessions with a qualified music therapist. Singing, percussion, listening.
Raised beds, a greenhouse, and a head gardener who's happy to have company.
Watercolour, oils, pottery. An art tutor visits twice a week.
Daily at 3pm. Proper tea, cake, and time to sit and talk.
Our screening room seats 12. Classic films, popcorn, the works.
Regular trips — National Trust gardens, restaurants, theatre.
Quiet reading room with newspapers, magazines, and a proper book collection.
Gentle chair yoga, physiotherapist visits, and garden walks.
Last inspected October 2023. Good across all categories.
We'll show you around, answer your questions, and give you an honest picture of what life here is like. No sales pitch.
